Natural Body Lotion DIY

Are you still using store-bought body lotions? Do you want a natural alternative? If yes, you are in the right place. In this article, we will discuss a few homemade body lotions that can be more effective than your store-bought lotions. These are less expensive and more effective.

Almond Oil

Almond oil is rich in antioxidants and vitamin E that will keep your skin cells healthy. Also, it will protect your skin from UV radiation damages. You can use it as a body lotion since it can make your skin soft, smooth, and free of fine lines and wrinkles. It has fatty acids that will help to retain moisture and to heal dry skin.

Honey is a natural moisturizer. It can be best to cure dry and cracked skin. The antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties of honey make it a good choice to remove dead skin and to improve the complexion. Honey is also effective to purify and moisturize your skin. It is better than any body lotion. You can use it for any skin type including sensitive skin.

Beeswax moisturizes your skin. It protects and repairs your dry, rough, and chapped skin. It can lock in moisture and work as one of the best natural body lotions. Also, it will prevent dry skin with regular use. For more benefits, you can combine almond oil, rosewater, honey, and vitamin E oil to prepare your homemade body lotion.

Homemade Body Lotion

If you are preparing a body lotion for extended use, avoid using honey and water. Water-free versions can be stored for years without any preservative. Honey is self-preserving and can be used alone as a skin moisturizer. But once diluted, it cannot be stored for a long. The same is about rosewater. If you are adding both these ingredients, then make sure that you are not preserving your body lotion for a long.

You can prepare a homemade body lotion by using a lot of other ingredients such as coconut oil, olive oil, essential oils, aloe vera, and cocoa butter. These are the best moisturizers.
