If you’re a chocolate fruit trifle lover, here’s a tasty and simple recipe you could try at home. This chocolate fruit trifle recipe consists of frozen berries, almond essence, Nestle milk, dark chocolate, whipping cream, heavy cream and castor sugar..Enjoy.
You can use a store bought cake as well. I made this cake without the ganache using Averie Cooks Homemade Chocolate Cake Recipe
- 1 Cup frozen berries
- 2 Drops Almond essence
Chocolate Cream Layer
- 2 Nestle milk can
- 6 0z Dark chocolate
- 1 ½ cup heavy cream
- 1 tb spoon castor sugar
Cut the chocolate cake into 1 inch square pieces
Fruit layer: Thaw the berries and add almond essence and mix. Keep it aside.
Chop the chocolate into fine pieces. Heat the cream and pour the hot cream over the chocolate and keep for few 1 minute and wisk till chocolate is melted and combined with the cream. Keep in the fridge for 2 hrs .
Place the cream and caster sugar in a large bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment. Whip on medium-high speed until soft peaks form.
Place the cake pieces on the bottom of the trifle dish. Spoon the fruit and layer it on the cake pieces. Next put the chocolate cream and spread it evenly. With a spoon or using a pipping bag pipe the whipping cream on top of chocolate cream layer. ( I just spread it with a spatula). Decorate with fresh berries of your choice.
