Cauliflower Crust Pizza and Cauliflower Rice
Cauliflower Crust Pizza (Video 0-01:44)
Cauliflower is rich in choline that improves brain function. They also contain antioxidants such as vitamin C, beta carotene, quercetin among others which help to fight free radicals.
Cauliflowers are also rich in other vitamins and minerals, including vitamin B6, vitamin K, thiamin, niacin, riboflavin, folate, manganese, potassium and pantothenic acid. In addition, cauliflowers contain sulforaphane, which reduces the growth of cancerous cells. You CAN have one cup of cauliflower every week to enjoy its numerous benefits.
Ingredients and How To Prepare:
- 11 oz(310g) of cauliflower
- Blend until crumbles
- Add 2.5 oz(70g) of grated cheese
- 1 small egg
- Pinch of salt
- Black pepper
- 1 tsp of dried basil
Place into a 12 inch (30cm) baking dish covered with baking paper. Even and press. You need a 1/5 inch (1/2cm) thick layer.Bake for about 25 minutes at 400F (200C)
- Meanwhile slice 1 small tomato
- 2 champignons and 1 small onion
- Smear with pizza sauce
- 3.5 oz (100g) of soft mozzarella
- Bake for about 20-25 minutes more
- Sprinkle with fresh basil or parsley
- Let it cool a bit, and serve
Cauliflower Rice (Video 01:45-02:40)
Ingredients and How To Prepare:
- Cut 1 cauliflower head into small pieces
- Blend until rice-sized granules
- Preheat 1 tbsp butter or oil
- Cook for 5-8 minutes under the cover
- Season to taste
